How To Create Gallery In WordPress Using The Media Options?

WordPress has many hidden features which are rarely in use. Do you know that you can create gallery in WordPress using the media library options?

It would be great to show the gallery of a few images to your post. If you know about WordPress post formats  then Gallery is also a post format.

But instead of a gallery post, you will learn about just creating the gallery from by the WordPress default options. The visual content always works the best and you can take an advantage of WordPress feature.

Create Gallery In WordPress Directly Without Any Code.

To most of the WordPress new features, people fret to use because of the coding. But here you just have to use the WordPress admin panel.

Just like you upload the image for your every blog post, create gallery in WordPress choosing those images. Let me show you the required steps.

Step 1:- Login to your WordPress admin area and open a new post to write.

Step 2:- Click on the “Add Media” button show above and choose the images from your media library. You can even upload new images.

But if you want to use the existing images and go for it. The number of images would depend on the layout of your website.

Step 3:- There are some options from in the left-hand side of the media library, click on “Create Gallery” and select the images from the media library. I would prefer 4 images. If the layout of your theme is thinner then choose three.

Step 4:- In the bottom-right corner, click on “Create a new Gallery”. After that, all the selected images will be showing to you. Just click on the “Insert gallery” and you would able to see the images in your WordPress post editor.

How To Edit The Image Gallery?

You can edit the images for the gallery. Choose the size of the images from the options given. There are many edit options before you click on the “Insert Gallery” button.

The columns can be chosen. If you want to show many images then choose the columns accordingly. If you want to arrange the images randomly then click on the checkbox.

You can check the preview of the gallery you have just created.

As you can see, WordPress doesn’t contain anything interesting to display. To give it a better look, you can use the CSS language.
